A manageable content marketing plan connects an audience question to a useful piece of content and a relevant next step. This four-week plan is an example for a small team. Adjust the pace to your capacity rather than treating the schedule as a rule.

01

Week 1: Gather questions and choose one

List the questions people ask before working with you. Look at your own permitted enquiry notes and sales conversations. Pick a question you can answer from experience, with examples you are allowed to share.

Write a brief with the reader, question, answer, supporting material, format, owner, and next step. For a creative service, a useful question could be what the client needs to prepare before production begins.

02

Week 2: Create the core explanation

Produce one substantial answer: a guide, demonstration, or recorded explanation. Focus on making it useful without requiring the reader to enquire just to obtain basic information.

Review the answer for missing steps. If it says “create a good brief,” explain what belongs in that brief. Include an example labeled as illustrative when it is not a real client case.

03

Week 3: Adapt the content for different uses

Create two or three focused adaptations. A reel could answer the most common objection. A carousel could show the steps. A short post could explain one mistake and link to the full guide.

Give each adaptation a separate purpose and opening. Repeating the same paragraph across several channels may save time, but it does not account for the different ways people encounter the content.

04

Week 4: Review and choose the next question

Record what was published, what response it received, and which questions followed. Review enquiry quality and relevant actions alongside reach. Small samples are noisy, so avoid declaring a winner from a tiny difference.

Keep a simple backlog with four columns: question, evidence, owner, and next action. Carry useful unanswered questions into the following month. Over time, the plan becomes a record of customer needs rather than a collection of empty calendar slots.

The useful takeawayOne well-answered question can support a month of useful content. Start with the answer, then plan the formats.
