A personal brand becomes valuable when someone can describe you accurately after you leave the room. If your positioning needs a long explanation, it is asking your audience to do too much work.

01

Can the right person recognize themselves?

Broad positioning feels safe but creates weak recognition. Name the kind of person, moment, or ambition you understand especially well.

The goal is not to exclude everyone else. It is to make your best-fit audience feel seen immediately.

02

Can they repeat the change you create?

Describe the movement you enable in concrete language. Strong positioning moves from a visible problem to a desirable result without hiding behind category jargon.

If a client cannot explain your value to a colleague, referrals will lose accuracy before they reach you.

03

Is there a reason to believe you?

A claim becomes a position when it is supported by experience, results, methods, or a distinct body of thinking. Place proof close to the promise.

Your story matters most when it explains why your perspective is credible and useful to someone else.

The useful takeawayMake your value easy to recognize, easy to remember, and easy to repeat.
