AI content quality is not the same as grammatical quality. A polished paragraph can still misstate a fact, exaggerate your service, or fail to answer the reader’s question. Use this checklist as an editorial process rather than a score that automatically approves a draft.
Check the source and every consequential claim
Find the source for names, figures, quotations, dates, and technical statements. Open the source and check whether it supports the exact claim. If evidence is missing, remove the claim, qualify it, or investigate further.
Watch for invented customer results. A hypothetical example should say it is an example. A portfolio description should accurately identify the work performed and any limits to the evidence.
Check whether the reader receives a usable answer
Identify the question promised by the headline. Can the reader act on the answer? Replace vague directions with steps, decision criteria, or a worked example. Remove sections that repeat the introduction without adding information.
Try the instructions yourself where practical. If the draft explains a calculation, calculate it. If it describes a route through your site, follow the links.
Edit for voice and specificity
Read the draft aloud. Replace phrases you would not say with simpler language, but preserve necessary precision. Add relevant observations only when they are grounded in your experience or clearly identified as examples.
Do not chase a detector score as a substitute for editorial judgment. The practical test is whether the content is accurate, useful, and something you are willing to put your name on.
Finish the page, not only the prose
Check the title, description, heading hierarchy, image descriptions, source links, and relevant service link. Test the page on a phone. Make sure the next action works and that the page does not promise something the linked service cannot deliver.
Record who reviewed the piece and when it needs another review. Fast-changing tool instructions need different maintenance from a stable explanation of marketing terminology.
The useful takeawayPublish only after checking the answer, evidence, voice, and page experience. Fluency is the start of review, not the end.
