An AI marketing strategy is a plan for using AI within your marketing process to solve a defined business problem. Buying a tool is a decision about software. The strategy decides what work matters, what evidence the tool receives, and who checks the result.
Choose a bottleneck you can actually describe
Write down the task that repeatedly delays your marketing. Examples include turning customer questions into article outlines, preparing first-draft captions, or adapting approved scripts into shorter versions. Pick one task for your first trial.
A useful starting brief is: “We have eight answered customer questions each month, but no reliable way to turn them into useful content.” This is specific enough to improve. “We need more AI” is not.
Give the workflow a reliable source
Create a small source pack: your offer, audience, approved claims, examples of your writing, and the original material. Remove private client details you do not need to process. Tell the model to flag missing information rather than invent an answer.
For example, ask for three article outlines from a recorded explanation you are permitted to use. Each outline should name the reader’s question, the answer from the source, and any claims requiring verification.
Keep a human review step
Review accuracy, relevance, tone, and the next action separately. A sentence can sound natural and still promise a service you do not provide. Check the draft against the source, then read it aloud to find phrasing you would never use.
Keep approval with a named person. Automation should not quietly turn an internal draft into a published claim.
Run a small comparison before expanding
Record time spent on the original workflow, time spent with AI including corrections, and the number of drafts that meet your quality standard. These are operational measures; they do not prove sales impact.
After four cycles, decide whether to keep, revise, or abandon the workflow. If editing takes longer than writing, improve the source brief or move AI to a narrower task. A useful system earns its place through better work, not more output.
The useful takeawayStart with one repeatable task, a trustworthy source, and a visible review step. Expand only when the workflow improves the work.
